PAYMENT AND CANCELLATION POLICY Upon check-in, guests must present a photo ID and the credit card used to make the reservation. We pre-authorize the credit card provided to guarantee the reservation. The reservation can be canceled or changed 14 days before the arrival date, without any additional costs. If the reservation is canceled between the 14th and 7th day prior to arrival, the total amount of the reservation will be held as a deposit and a voucher valid for one year will be issued to be used at a later date, subject to availability. After this period, 100% of the total reservation amount will be charged. In case of a no-show, early departure, or refusal of the voucher, 100% of the total reservation amount will be charged. A tourist tax may be charged if required by the municipality. NEW CANCELLATION POLICY – COVID-19 Given the current situation and because Dajas Douro Valley is committed to ensuring high-quality service to all customers, we have made our cancellation policy more flexible if valid reasons related to COVID-19 are presented (lockdown, travel restrictions, flight cancellation, isolation, or infected individuals). If the reservation is canceled only 2 days in advance, the total reservation amount will be held as credit for future use, valid for one year and subject to availability. Turismo de Portugal, in partnership with RNA Seguros de Assistência, offers travel insurance for foreign tourists who wish to visit Portugal during the pandemic (www.portugaltravelinsurance.com). RESERVATION DEPOSIT An advance payment of a deposit may be requested to guarantee the reservation, depending on the situation. For all reservations, we pre-authorize the provided credit card to secure the booking. Refunds are available according to the cancellation terms. CHECK-IN & CHECK-OUT Check-in time for rooms is between 4:00 PM and 8:00 PM. If guests wish to arrive earlier, we recommend booking and paying for the previous night to ensure immediate room availability and provide the best possible arrival experience. Check-out is between 8:00 AM and 11:00 AM. After this time, an additional night's accommodation fee will be charged. If you choose not to book an additional night for early arrival or late check-out, you are welcome to enjoy our facilities while we store your luggage. CHILDREN AND EXTRA BEDS All children are welcome. All cribs and extra beds are subject to availability. QUIET HOURS Guests must respect quiet hours between 10:00 PM and 8:00 AM. RETURN AND WARRANTY POLICY Dajas Douro Valley recognizes the right of all its customers to withdraw from contracts entered into with the company, allowing returns within 14 (fourteen) days of purchase under the Portuguese legal framework for distance and off-premises contracts (Decree-Law No. 24/2014, of February 14, amended by Law No. 47/2014, of July 28, and Decree-Law No. 78/2018, of October 15). We are committed to providing high-quality products, and your total satisfaction is our goal. CONDITIONS To exercise the right of withdrawal, the customer must communicate their decision to Dajas Douro Valley by sending the "Withdrawal Form" as per Part B of the annex to Decree-Law No. 24/2014, of February 14, in its current version, or by any other unequivocal statement of contract termination, sent with proof of receipt to the email reservas@dajasdourovalley.com, indicating the order number or accompanying document. In case of contract withdrawal, the customer must return the products in perfect condition, along with the invoice, no later than 14 days from the date they informed Dajas Douro Valley of their decision, bearing all return costs. Returns will only be accepted, and payments will only be refunded if the products are returned in good condition, in their complete and sealed original packaging, including any accessories or promotional gifts sent with them. Dajas Douro Valley will not accept returns of used or opened products, modified items, or in cases covered by Article 17 of Decree-Law No. 24/2014, in its current version. Dajas Douro Valley is not responsible for defects resulting from improper use, negligence, poor storage conditions, or force majeure. TERMS OF USE The Website is made available free of charge to the user for their personal use, subject to these Terms and Conditions. Use of the Site implies acceptance of these Terms and Conditions. Using the Site implies that the user must be of legal age (minimum age of 18) and be able to enter into binding contracts. The user will be financially responsible for any and all use of the Site made by themselves. The user may only use the Site to make legitimate reservations or purchases. It is not permitted to use the Site to: make any false, fraudulent or speculative reservations, or any reservation based on expected demand; disseminate or transmit any type of material of an unlawful, threatening, libelous, libelous, defamatory, obscene, indecent, inflammatory, pornographic nature, or any material or information that may constitute or encourage conduct considered to be a criminal offense, that would give rise to civil liability, or that would otherwise violate any law; or for any other unlawful purpose or prohibited by these Terms and Conditions. We reserve the right, at any time and without prior notice, to prevent or limit user access to all or part of the Site. PRIVACY POLICY If the user registers or provides personal data through the website, they must ensure that the data provided at the time of registration or at any other time is correct and complete. The user agrees to immediately notify us of any necessary changes to the information provided at registration.
Dajas Douro Valley guarantees the full confidentiality of personal data provided through a secure server and in accordance with applicable law. SELLER’S RIGHTS Dajas Douro Valley reserves the right, at its discretion, to make changes to any part of the website.
As part of our update policy, Dajas Douro Valley may modify these Terms and Conditions (including those related to content usage). BUYER’S RIGHTS When using the Dajas Douro Valley online reservation system, the terms and conditions related to availability, pricing, and cancellations apply to each room rate indicated. Users should carefully read the details provided regarding the applicable rate before completing the reservation process.
